[Beetailer] Installation help

Beeshopy requires to connect with your Magento API, so you should give Beetailer some web services access credentials, let's suppose that you don't have one, we are going to explain how to create it.

1. Create a webservice role.

We need a catalog resources access role, so if you already have one, just jump to step 2.

In your administration zone menu go to System > Web Services > Roles

Create a catalog resources and stock access role.

Save the role.

2. Create a webservice user.

To access remotely your Magento store, you need an API username and API key, so you need to create a new webservice user.

In your administration zone menu go to System > Web Services > Users

Fill the user information, the username and api_key are the fields needed by Beetailer, you must remember them.

In User Role section, select the role we've just created.

Save the user.

3. The last step for using Beetailer with Magento is to install a custom extension in your Magento instance.

In your Magento administration zone go to System > Magento Connect > Magento Connect Manager

In the Magento connect manager paste Beetailer's extension key and press install.

Extension key:

For Magento version 1.4 and prior magento-community/Beecoder_Beeshopy

For Magento version 1.5 and further http://connect20.magentocommerce.com/community/Beecoder_Beeshopy

Note: If you are using a from a package that is NOT 'default', you must copy the following files to your custom theme folder.

  • /app/design/frontend/base/default/template/beeshopy/track.phtml to /app/design/frontend/{your package}/{your_theme}/template/beeshopy/track.phtml
  • /app/design/frontend/base/default/layout/beeshopy.xml to /app/design/frontend/{your package}/{your_theme}/layout/beeshopy.xml
