Order of Combinations

I was just wondering, how is the order of combinations determined? Is It by how they are entered or another method? The reason I ask is I noticed that one of our products (which is clothing with sizes), had the combinations in the order:

XS
XL [this should be after Large]
Small
Medium
Large

Ours shop is a stand alone shop, not linked to any other platform if that helps. I couldn't see any easy way to reorder the combinations either.

    Hi!

Could you give me the name of your store? I would like to take a look at it.

    Best regards,

    Laura

    HI Laura,

Our store is called "Fixgear NZ". We are on the "free" plan at the moment.

I couldn't work out how to reorder the combinations on some of the products so I ended up deleting them and reentering.

This product still has them out of order though, http://btlr.me/1FQLv7u , which I haven't corrected yet.

    Thanks

    Hi!

Well, the combinations are ordered according how they were first created.

You cannot reorder it, but you can just add new variants using the values above and remove the ones you already copy, so it will create the right ones in the right order.

I did it with your product and it is working now.

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

    Best regards,

    Laura

Thanks heaps Laura for the quick reply.

That's a shame there's not a cool drag-and-reorder feature like for the products but never mind. Like you said, it's easy enough to do what you suggested and remove the doubled up ones.

I also just worked out that if a combination has 0 in stock, it doesn't show in the drop down list for the product, so we can just add the full range of sizes and "0" the ones we don't have. Don't know why I didn't think of that first :)

    Thanks again.
